There was a piece in TapeOp two issues back about how he and Hugh  
Padham got that drum sound. Pretty interesting. Phil was a great  
player. I was there with them until the Mama LP. After that ...  
well ... the less said the better. The first two Collins solo records  
are also pretty good. But from "No Jacket" forward, it was strictly  
lawnmower beer music.
