I think the new song sounds pretty awesome myself.

I admired "chaos..." but I can't say I really enjoy it. It lacks the  
variety of most McCartney albums, pretty much staying in a similar  
mood. Now some people may like it because of this, you know,  
different strokes.

I do know a lot of people who basically don't like anything McCartney  
does now, and immediately say his new stuff isn't as good as the old  
stuff. Whatever, anyone that has been around a long time starts  
competing with themselves. For me that started happening with REM in  
the late 90's, and it kind of dawned on me that things I heard when I  
was in college or in high , were tied to that period. And a new REM  
cd, while nice sometimes (boring lately IMO), just doesn't make me  
feel like I did back then, or give me that rush of nostalgia that  
say, "Green" or "Fables..." does. So it becomes an unfair comparison.

Plus, how much trailblazing can any one artist be expected to do?
