From an emotional standpoint yeah I would have to agree. We are nothing
but a ball of emotions before we are 25, trying to sort
things out. But as far as enjoying and being moved by new music and becoming
immersed in a new band or sound, I know for me it happens all the time.
And I am far north of 25.

Yeah this is true, and for all the reasons you stated. And yet at the
same time I am fortunate to have a family that pretty much likes what I
like, save for the odd Tom Waits CD I like to hear every now and then.
So while at work at home, in the car I can listen to music I want. My
teenage daughter and I fight over new CDs I buy and I am always looking
for my "classic" stuff in her room.
