For me it starts with Todd Rundgren's "Couldn't I Just Tell You" and goes
down from there. I agree on shouting distance, even though you still have to
defend against the Beach Boys, Raspberries, Turtles, Paul Revere and The
Raiders, Credence (speaking of underrated bands), Lovin Spoonful, Mamas and
Papas, Monkees, Big Star, Dwight Twilley, The Beat, .....

And I can't argue either point because I agree. It's a stunning single.
