Subject Sparks reissue - Big Beat problem?

So I finally plunk the $$ down and grab my favorite mid-period Sparks album 
(and maybe my favorite overall), BIG BEAT. Beautiful sunny day, blasting in 
the car when "Throw Her Away And Get A New One" just....TRUNCATES...and then 
"Confusion" starts up. WTF??

Track on the CD looks to be 3:15 and the next one starts up after a normal 
between-track pause. Tried to check the time on the original but cannot find 
it on the web (yet) and my vinyl isn't handy... but I am 100% positive the 
song did not end like that. So is this a manufacturing glitch? My bad CD? 
Anyone else have the album or CD handy?
