Then I'll start:
Brian Wilson's last two solo records were largely an unlistenable mess.
The reworking of "Smile" was wonderful. Ditto for his returning to live 
performing.
But so far, he hasn't proven that he has anything new to say.

And this from a guy who lists Pet Sounds as one of his top two or three 
favorite records ever.
