It was more than just
the first good weather in over a month
that drove me deep into Central Park
this afternoon:
None other than our own Kevin Mathews
was more than on hand
for the New York Singapore Day spectacular,
to perform a short (as in IPO-length ;-)
but Very sweet set
beginning with his anti-theme
"Never Liked The Beatles"
(actually, Yes He Did
.....and still does:
Kevin wore an honest-to-goodness
"With The Beatles" tee
for his performance).
Joined by an absolutely wonderful vocalist
named Skye,
and backed by a quickly-assembled
yet definitely all-star ensemble,
Kevin's songs and singing especially
wafted with ease
within us and around us,
but that all said,
It just was a treat to meet
face to face
with one of my oldest and dearest
Auditeers,
from half a world away,
