Spring is in full bloom for some great new music!!
Forget the Arcade Fire and Modest Mouse hype...here are some killer sleepers
to check out...

BLONDE REDHEAD - 23 http://www.myspace.com/blonderedhead
WOW!!! This band has finally reached their apex I think - stellar, dense
fervently melodic...a perfect representation of their label's (4AD) repertoire!
Shades of Lush, Curve...Cocteau Twins...a quieter My Bloody Valentine.
More upbeat that their last few...elaborate instrumentation...and instantly engaging!

BRAD BROOKS - Spill Collateral Love http://www.myspace.com/bradbrooksmusic
Give some props to a fellow San Franciscan! An amazing, accomplished
songwriter. This record is his crowning achievement...not to mention a long-time
coming since his last release (2000's "Sanctified Into Astroglide"). Brad
offers a borad musical palate w/ a paino at the forefront and nods from
everything to the Zombies, Ben Folds, Rufus Wainright to The Flaming Lips.

WALKER KONG - Deliver Us From People http://www.myspace.com/walkerkong
Hailing from the musically-fertile soils of Minneapolis, this five-piece band plays strummy, densely-melodic pop that is equal part literate folk and 60's inspired jangle pop. Vocalist Jeremy Ackerman bears an uncanny similarity to Robyn Hitchcock while the breezy, acoustic-guitar driven song structures recall the pleasantries of bands like the Go-Betweens, New Pornographers and Belle & Sebastian. Sharp, literate pop with true melodic zest and vibrancy.....A very very pleasant surprise!

P.S. I heard the Well Wishers have some new beer coaster as well. Hmmm...
You can read all about *that* one here: http://www.notlamecustomercare.com/wellwishers.htm
