Anybody else as surprised as me to hear DD,D,B,M & T name-checked in the Quentin Tarantino portion of "Grindhouse?" Rosario Dawson and her pals discuss them in detail, complete with the anecdote about Pete Townshend almost joining the band. Then one of the others (anyone in a scene with Rosario Dawson will always be "one of the others") requests "Hold Tight" from a radio DJ and they all bop around to it.
Tarantino's segment ends with one of my favorite songs (and the title track to one of my SOTT compilations), April March's "Chick Habit."
Wish the rest of "Grindhouse" measured up to the quality of those two tunes. Loved the fake trailers, though.
