You should be careful with the band's early records, which make plain 
their early status as protegees of Sonic Youth's Steve Shelley: much, 
much noisier than their later work.  Definitely get the last album, 
MISERY IS A BUTTERFLY.  If that works for you, try the one before 
that, MELODY OF CERTAIN DAMAGED LEMONS.  Proceed with caution after 
that.
