<< Kinda like Alanis's two DANCE albums pre-Jagged Little Pill.
Rumours
circulated for years that when she signed with Maverick, her management
team
had ALL the evidence of these recordings/images confiscated from all
the MCA
offices worldwide so as to not confuse the Alanis Dance Queen with
Alanis
Morissette alt-girl image they were creating for her in the market
place. >>
I also know for a fact
that Alanis's two severely Debbie Gibsonesque teen/pop videos
were forcibly removed
from MuchMusic's library
at this time as well
......though "safety" copies were still occasionally aired
by renegade Much veejays
deep in the wee wee hours
(along with antique footage of Metal Queen Lee Aaron
singing "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life,"
I believe it was,
on some local kid's talent show
and, even better still,
the split screen of Axl's "Welcome To The Jungle" choreography
right alongside Davy's Monkee-dancing in the "Daydream Believer" vid:
boy,
was Mr. Rose pee'd off when they pulled THAT one on him
at the very end of his live, in-studio Much interview!)
PS:
and On the subject of "The Making Of Help,"
caveat emptor
the "Beach Boys In London 1966" DVD as well:
102 minutes of Peter Whitehead's footage
of the band's post-"Good Vibrations" trip to the U.K.,
with audio wiped for "legal reasons"
......It's still a hoot-and-a-half
to watch Dennis and Al silently shopping for clothes though,
and BBFreaks like me can easily sing along to the concert footage
coz we recognize all the chord changes anyways,
Gary "plus I grabbed this one for next to nada as Tower NYC forever
closed its doors" Pig
