Not quite what happened. Lennon recorded the rock and roll album, with
the Chuck covers so his publisher could make some money... Morris Levy
who may have had his finger in all this, got a copy of the Rock and Roll
tapes from John, and proceeded to release it as a tv/mail order album.
That wasn't the deal, and he was stopped qucikly.
