Funny....I searched this out on CD about two months ago. Your assesment is correct....(showing my age here and turning into my parents), when I hear some of the old stuff nowadays, I cannot help but think "those were they days", or "they don't write music like that anymore".
I'd also recommend "Down Two, Then Left".
