Gabe: Newtown Neurotics - I remember the name but nothing else - what did
they sound like? Do you also remember bands like The Redskins? Ah yes,
Dexy's made some fine records.
Back from that same era (maybe 81 - 82) I remember seeing one of my fave
gigs ever - The Stray Cats supported by The Barracudas. I really went
along for the 'Cudas because I had their first album and was blown away
with the retro sounds on it: they didn't disappoint live. However, Brian
Setzer's guitar playing with the Cats totally slayed me - he was
PHENOMENAL.
Also, Dirty Looks two Stiff albums from 81/82 are now out with bonus trax
on a 2-fer. Shake those skinny ties!
