It's very much a running joke in the Whitby household about how my
wife likes Celine Dion as much as much as I hate her.

Well, hate is a strong word - why do I categorise her along with
people like Chris deBurgh, Phil Collins, etc.? I suspect that it's -
rightly or wrongly - that I just don't believe she's singing from her
heart. She always smacks of being a corporate puppet.

That said... "All by myself" is a bit of a guilty please. Just don't
tell the wife.

Matt.
England.

He actually liked Celine Dion. He even went to one of her concerts. I did not, and continue to not like Celine Dion. Looking back on it now, the fact that we had such different opinions on what could be considered "good music" should have set off some major alarm on potential issues in our relationship...but hey, that is another story.

People seem to either admire this woman or just flat out hate her...sorta like how most people feel about our current president. I could not really provide any real concrete reason why I did not like her other than the lame excuse that just looking at her "made my skin crawl". (I guess I really am not the best one to put on the debate team).
