I guess I lucked out as well, similar to the (formerly) Poppy Professor.
I saw the Posies in Philadelphia in 2000 or 2001, in support of the IN
CASE YOU DIDN'T FEEL LIKE PLUGGING IN album.  It was an acoustic show -
they were well behaved and sounded great.  I had gone with a friend of
mine, who was just hoping to hear "You Don't Like Parties", which I
thought was a long-shot at best.  They played it that night, and really
nailed it.

I bought PLUGGING IN from them, and both Jon and Ken signed it.  They
hung at the bar after and were pretty cool.  I do remember them doing
tequila shots on stage, though :)
