Sounds to me
like someone's been playing with
(as in simply isolating)
channels from the ol' vinyl "stereo" mixes
and more recent 5.1 releases.
I got a buncha these too
(eg: Paul's "Sgt. Pepper" guitar overdub;
"Nowhere Man" bedtracks).
Even MORE, um, fun
is isolating the vocals
off those old Gary Lewis and the Playboys
stereo elpees,
