Simple: since 1982, Weller has talked about he was morally opposed to
nostalgia, blah blah blah, modernism modernism, blah blah, don't look
back move forward, blah-de-blah-de-blah...and now he's doing solo
concerts of Jam and Style Council songs. So either he's a giant
flaming hypocrite or he doesn't care if Steve and Rick do Jam songs
themselves. It's gotta be one or the other.
