Saw KISS on their first tour in..'74 I think. Memorial Hall...KC, KS. I was
15 or 16...and couldn't drive yet...so 3 friends and I hopped in my dad's
'75 V'dub Squareback and were delievered to the venue door...
Small stage...candelabras all over the place...and man...we got so stoned it
was un-fuggin-believeable.
When they hit the stage the entire place went nuts....Strutter...Black
Diamond...geez...they ripped through that first album and basically tore the
house down...
I still remember walking into the lobby after the show and promptly passing
out...mere seconds before my buddy said "hey..there's yer dad...".
LOL. That's rock n roll, baby!
