For some reason, a lot of people slam "Do The Collapse". I don't know if it was because Ric Ocasek produced it, or if the ballad "Hold On Hope" was percieved as a blatant attempt to have a hit single, but personally, I love both the production sheen and most of the songs on that album, including "Hold On Hope". (I just swoon when the strings kick in near the end.)
In fact, I like it just a tad more than Isolation Drills...and ID is generally regarded as GBV's best "well-produced" album.
My 2 cents.
