The GBV spectrum is flagged by the following...both great in their own
right:

BEE THOUSAND: A cornerstone of ultra lo-fi indie rock w/ an uncompromising
approach to just about everything.
to...
ISOLATION DRILLS: A polished, well-produced power pop album w/ some
of the band's best songs.

All of their other albums fall somewhere in this spectrum.... w/ most
straddling
the line somewhere in the middle.

Of course...no album compares to the fist-pumping, beer-soaked rock n roll
spectacle that was the live Guided By Voices experience. May it rest in
peace...
