YES!! I LOVE this book.... some of the scams Napier-Bell pulled are still being
done today.... they got pulled on me when i was working at various labels....
the Europeans are the masters at this kind of stuff...
I also recommend the Clive Davis book, "Inside The Music Business" - it
really gives you some insight into the mentality of the 60s/70s music biz and
explains all those Columbia/Epic cover designs .... Clive is STILL using
the very same principles today to incredible success (well-known
artist + well-known songs = sales!).... granted, I haven't read this
in many years but it was definitely very influential to me back in
the 80s....
worth tracking down for sure...
i also liked the Jenny Fabian books for trying to figure out who she
was talking about....
