I saw them in '91 in Philadelphia (twice actually). Once where they
headlined with the Connells opening (Tower Theater) and another summer show
where they, along with Matthew Sweet, opened for Elvis Costello on (I
believe) the Mighty Like A Rose tour.

Subject: Looking for Replacments help
I was talking a buddy of mine yesterday and we were talking about The
Replacement's tours from `89 and `91. After they moved away from opening
from Tom Petty in `89 and started their headlining shows, neither of us
could remember who opened for the band on either of these tours.
I know there are some `Mats fans here. Anyone remember who opened for
them?
Thanks
Chris
