A song I've been listening to as of late (well, the entire 
CD actually), Prefab Sprout's "We Let The Stars Go". Very 
genuine, very sad and lamenting.

And of course - a tad more corny and obvious might include 
"Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word", Sir Elton.  Still, 
good lyrics, fantastic melody. The melody alone is 
perfectly sad .. come to think of it, you dont even really 
need the lyrics with that one.

And a Badly Drawn Boy tune just played in my head...cant 
recall the title , hmmm ..........     ;)
