"7 Faces of Dr. Lao" is one of the many masterpieces by George Pal, a
special effects wizard from the old (pre-computer) school. There's a great
documentary video on his career--worth checking out. He did the "War of the
Worlds" in the 50s and "The Time Machine" in 1960.
