Latest entry in the "great band, crap name" sweepstakes is Sheffield's
Little Man Tate. They may be from the same town as the Arctic
Monkeys, but in fact, their music is far more reminiscent of
mid-period Blur, the Dentists and any other band who favor a blend of
catchy guitar pop tunes and quotidian-British-life lyrics. Debut
album ABOUT WHAT YOU KNOW out next week in the UK. Annoyingly, the
closing of V2's American label has probably scuppered the US release.

personal fave: "House Party at Boothy's," although "Man, I Hate Your
Band" is pretty great too.
