> Optic Nerve is a fab little band. Much like the Beau Brummels to my
ears. Found some of the original 45s too.
Right on! "Ain't That a Man" is a great tune, and I think it made it
to the Children of Nuggets box set. Another great song is "Take Me,"
which appears on a CD compilation of The Optic Nerve's various singles
and EP's. The songwriting / vocals have a real Mike Nesmith feel.
> I was such a huge Police fan as a kid, and I still would love
Splitsville to make an album that emulates the feel of a Ghost in the
Machine or Synchronicity. Now, please.. flame on!!!
Uh... about what?? Hmmmm, maybe Splitsville could do a Police-
inspired EP called "Outlandatta de Ghosticity"?
I saw The Police (with The Go-Go's opening) on the Ghost in the
Machine tour, and it was a great show. "Message in a Box" is one of
the great CD box sets.
> Also, do you know who is in the current zombies?
Dunno, but I'd guess the band includes Colin Blunstone, Rod Argent,
and that Rodford guy who was in Argent. They played together when I
saw 'em in Chicago 3 years ago.
Be seeing you,
Bill
