> I've just finished Jacob Slichter's excellent tome "So You
Wanna Be A Rock & Roll Star" (big thanks to whoever mentioned it on
the list!) and aim to get the Jeff Murphy book too. Any other lesser
known books that might appeal to me and others on this list?

Someone mentioned "Please Kill Me," which is indeed a great book. If
you enjoy that subject matter, you might also seek out a book by Roman
Kozak with a title of something like "The Story of CBGB." I met him
once in a lower east side bar and bought the book directly from him.
I thought it was a really good profile of the club.

And since we were talking about The Kinks recently, I have to also
recommend Ray's book titled, "X Ray." It's a very interesting read,
to say the least. It's been a while, so I can't describe it very
well, but it was... different. I'm sure others can do it justice
better than I can.

Be seeing you,
Bill
