Hi folks,
I've just finished Jacob Slichter's excellent tome "So You
Wanna Be A Rock & Roll Star" (big thanks to whoever mentioned it on the list!) and aim to get the Jeff Murphy book too. Any other lesser known books that might appeal to me and others on this list? Just getting my summer holiday books ready...

Thanks in advance, Brian

***Recently finished "Here, There and Everywhere," Geoff Emerick's book on working with The Beatles at Abbey Road. It's a familiar story seen through a fresh pair of eyes and the book is at its best when Emerick gives his insights into the personalities of the band members, their work habits, their relationship with the Abbey Road staff, etc. The recreated dialogue comes off as unauthentic, however. Reading the book sent me back to listen to the Beatles catalogue, especially "Revolver" and "Sgt. Pepper," with a different ear.
