Man, that Mika song is annoying me. I started off thinking it was okay but
the more I hear it and the more I see the guy being interviewed the more it
annoys me. He's trying way too hard and there's a neediness that really
turns me off and see that silly noise he makes at the very end of the song -
aaagh!

The only good thing I can see that he is doing is mentioning Harry Nilsson
in interviews and he even got Without Her played on Radio 2 on Saturday
morning.

On a more positive note, can I mention the new Field Music album Tones of
Town (you can get it on eMusic)? It's brilliant. Like their first album I
seemed to spend a lot of my initial listening time paying attention to the
arrangements and only now am I focussing on the songs which are at least the
match of the first album if not better. They don't seem to get a great deal
of attention compared to some lesser bands, my local shop only got 5 copies
on release day and I was faced with a whole wall of albums by The View, but
they deserve some wider recognition.
