For me, "Journeys To Glory" is the better of the first two records. "To Cut
A Long Story Short,
"Musclebound," and "Mandolin," are great tracks.
"Diamond" isn't as consistent, though "Paint Me Down," and "Instinction" are
great songs. The B-side after "She Loved Like Diamond," is a little spotty.
"True" is a great record, though it did signal a descent into MOR that was
completed by "Parade" in 1984. And the less said about their cod-rock
records "Through the Barricades" and "Heart Like A Sky," the better.
The first Nena LP was a terrific confection. I always liked the fact that
the A-side was in English and the B-side was in German. "Just A Dream," off
that LP was another terrific track, as was "Kino."
