MOON MARTIN...now there's a Blast from the past!

Never got his due! In spite of writing one of Robert Palmer's biggest Hits:
"Doctor, Doctor Bad Case of Loving You". Mink Deville covered "Cadillac Walk"
and "Rolene". Dave Edmunds covered "Don't you Double Cross Me Baby". Even
Mama Michele Philips first solo record had Moon's" "Victim of Romance" and "Paid
the Price". How about Bette Midler with Moon's penned but never released by
himself: "My Eye on You" (from No Frills "Beast of Burden" lp). Moon did hit
the top 40 with "Rolene".

Moon was BIG in Europe particularly France in the late 80's mid 90's. Had a
HIT with "Bad News" (from the Street Fever lp). He toured France and Spain
several times over the years.

Saw Moon Martin back in 1982 at Six Flags Magic Mountain in LA. A free
Concert...remember them? You could actually see National recording artists at a
major Amusement Park no extra charge. Great Concert as I remember. "X-Ray
Vision" made an appearance on MTV back then. Anyone else see Moon Martin Live?

Don

I like "Dirty White Boy" too, but the intro always
reminded me of Moon Martin's "Rolene"...I was always
disappointed when it wasn't.
