As always, I reject the very notion of "guilty" pleasures--arrogant sumanagun
I am, I've always felt that if I dig something, the rest of the world should
feel guilty for not recognizing the brilliance of That Thing I Dig. Closest
thing I have to a guilty pleasure is Billy Joel...and I STILL don't feel
guilty.
That said, I'll join you in specific, defiant huzzahs on behalf of That
Thing You Do! (one of my all-time faves) and Smallville, swoon right alongside
you over Laura Petrie, and gladly turn the radio up for some ABBA. I'm not
familiar with the above-mentioned breakfast tea, but the only thing on your
list that I dislike is Starbucks. (My fave Nat King Cole track--other than
"The Christmas Song," which belongs in its own sovereign category--is "Call The
Police," a rockin', rockin' '40s track that we've played a couple of times on
THIS IS ROCK 'N' ROLL RADIO, and which I discovered via the Laverne & Shirley
TV show. What? No, I'm still not feeling guilty....)
