Foreigner had some great singles - "Hot Blooded," "Urgent," "Cold As Ice," "Feels Like the First Time," "Double Vision," "Dirty White Boy," and "Waiting for a Girl Like You" (Thomas Dolby on the keys). I have this theory that *every* artist, no matter how dismal, has at least one song they knock out of the park, and Foreigner, dire stadium rock that they were, had a whole slew of good songs.
They had a terrible live rep, though I never saw them. And "I Wanna Know What Love Is" is just unforgiveable. Still, if I had a band, it'd damn sure do "Dirty White Boy."
later,
Miles
