To start with, you've absolutly gotta include "Stoneage Romeos" by
Hoodoo Gurus, and "Sixteen Tambourines" by The Three O'Clock. Two of
the best "underground" albums ever.

>>> What about The Jam?
>> Hmmm.... I consider the Jam's better stuff to be in the 70s,
although Sound Affects is pretty good.
> Going Underground... Start... Town Called Malice... Ghosts... all
classic 80's tracks by The Jam.

And don't forget a litle tune called "The Bitterest Pill." Oops, Rob
just mentioned that. Damn... ; - ) Say, anyone catching Paul Weller
at Irving Plaza for his solo shows? If so, please provide a review!

Someone already mentioned The Lyres, but I have to add my vote for "On
Fyre," an incredible album, and perhaps the high point of '80s
garage. Another solid choice is The Vipers' "Outta The Nest."

Mike Bennett - thanks once again for your herculean efforts to capture
everyone's votes in the annual Audities poll. It's one thing that
helps us stay focused on MUSIC. And I don't have either of the top
two albums (The Nines and Roger Manning?), so I may have to go
shopping (here I come Bruce!). But Mike, I'm a real bonehead and
accidentally deleted that digest. Would you please re-send it to
me?? Thanks!

Be seeing you,
Bill
