At least on AFI's second song, there were MAJOR sound gaffes going on,
so I'm not sure what was going on there. You couldn't hear the douche
with the emo hair and girl pants at all for at least half the song,
which was a tremendous improvement, and I think the guitarist was
affected by that as well. As for the phantom keyboardist, I assume
they were just prerecorded tracks triggered by the drummer -- I
personally don't have a problem with that.
I was shocked by how bad the Shins were, honestly. I haven't heard
the new album yet, so I don't know what's up there, but what was the
deal with "New Slang"? Did James just have a cold or has he somehow
blown his voice out over the last couple of years?
