Hey Everyone,
I thought I'd interrupt the Paula Kelly list (formally known as
Audities.sorry I couldn't resist) to see if anybody's been digging the
newest Head Automatica album "Popaganda"? Not sure if this has been
discussed here or not and I know the record's not that new but I figured
I'd chime in and say that I think it's fairly cool; probably a lot on
this list would enjoy it. Kind of reminds me of slightly more frantic
Rooney, maybe?
What I like about it- fun, a lot of energy, lots of hooks.
What I don't like- not a lot of dynamics, the album and the songs
themselves go kind of full tilt from beginning to end. The vocals,
while very solid, lean a touch too much toward the emotive side for me.
Discuss. Please.
