...here, what I believe, is a cool piece of trivia... I had mentioned The Buggs - The Beetle Beat (99 cent) album released at the very beginning of Beatlemania to cash in on unsuspecting parents wanting to bring a "moptop" record home to their kids (believe it or not my mom showed up with one of those... "Hey Look, it's those BEEtles that have been on the news!"... she proudly announced)...
I forgot to mention another 99 cent gem... "BEATS!!! The Merseyside Sound... Well as terrible as the singing and playing is on this album, supposedly Lou Reed is featured on the cover which was released by Pickwick Records and he worked for the label...

The "Lou Reed comment" is on the right side submitted by one, Peter Ball... This was trivia I was unaware of... Would love to hear what Lou Reed has to comment on this one...

PS - Todd Rundgren's-Utopia "Deface The Music" is one of the best Beatle-alike records ever produced, inmho...
