I've never been asked to skew anything, but I did have Joe politely let me
know that he wouldn't be using my semi-pan of the last Sounds album because
he wanted to do a big feature on the band, and that he was going to have
someone else write the review instead. But he never asked me to change it,
and I really respected that...and although I don't recall who ended up
writing the review in the end, I have no reason to believe that they offered
anything less than their own opinion on the record. (I know a lot of people
who loved that disc...and it wasn't like I hated it; I just felt like it was
so similar to the previous album that it might as well have been recorded at
the same sessions.)
