I spend a good portion of my day searching for info on self-released
music. I'm not a spelling cop or grammar nazi as I make more than my
share of mistakes. The quality of writing out in the blog world (I'm
talking about the folks who fancy themselves "critics" to the point
where they've set up blogs to "review" new releases). The writing, in
general, in terrible. The historical references are useless (or wrong).
It turns into a frustrating waist of time.
The wave of blogs and social networking is going to be a poor
replacement for good magazines (of which I consider Amplifier),
knowledgeable stores, friends, on-line communities etc.
