Wow, I guess I shouldn't be surprised, given how fan-unfriendly the organizers have done their best to make SXSW in the past few years, but this is just so stupid. Sure, I'll feel terrible in March as the event arrives and the "I'm not going" remorse sets in, but for average fan-types, SXSW is done. They've made wristbands illogically expensive (and inaccessible for out-of-towners) to tamp down the non-business types, and now they're peeing on the day parties. May they drown in their CSRF* mammon.
