Didn't listen to much new music last year, as in stuff actually
released then - most of the stuff I got was old records I'd not heard
before. Of the stuff I *did* listen to, the stuff I most enjoyed was:
1) Joanna Newsom - Ys
2) Blake Jones & The Trike Shop - Pop Songs & Kyries
3) The Beatles - Love (if that counts)
4) Robyn Hitchcock & The Venus 3 - Ole Tarantula (saw them live last
night - fantastic)
5) Various - Colours Are Brighter (does this count? It's all-new recordings)
6) Belle & Sebastian - The Life Pursuit
7) Neil Innes - Works In Progress (I *think* this came out in '06.
Certainly when I saw him live in April it was 'the new CD' he was
touring to promote...)
I'm sure I've missed a couple of favourites off here...
