Peterborough is a town....an hour and a bit north of Toronto. The Kawarthas
is the cottage/hinterland it resides in; cottage country where us city
dwellers go in the summer to sit on freshwater lakes, fish, drink beer and
play loud rock music around campfires. Thousands of square miles of forested
park land dotted with hundreds of lakes and tributaries.

Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russell have a summer home there....the second "Cheaper
By The Dozen" movie AND the original "Meatballs" movie were filmed there.
