As always, the folks on this list provided you a pretty thorough list.
TONS of excellent suggestions.
I'll make 2 more of discs that in my opinion are among the top power pop
releases of the past 20 years, but are pretty difficult to find:
Semantics/Powerbill- This is Owsley and Millard Powers. Zak Starkey also
drums on it. A few songs were reworked on Owsley's solo debut. It was
only released in Japan and can be found with some hunting.
Millard Powers/Millard Powers- The other half of The Semantics. This
album was available for a short time from mp3.com. Millard was also in
an early Ben Folds band called Mojosha. One of the songs from this CD
also appeared on the Semantics CD. Man this is great CD. I'm going to
have to pull both of them out when I get home tonight.

Seriously though, thanks for taking the time.
The hunt for hidden gems is now equipped with a great map.
(I.E. I cut and paste all those on a Word file and the search for mp3's
or soundbites begins!)
