Once again, despite spending most of this past year re-discovering
my own pre-2006-released CD collection, and listening to it all over
again in the iTunes library, and despite hours and hours I spent
listening to music at my job (not to mention the other time I spent
listening to older releases, reissues and box sets) -- I was still able
to find a lot of new music to enjoy.
Here are my Top Twenty albums of 2006 -- a lot of "freak folk" (for
lack of a better term), country rock, indie songwriters, a little retrograde
pop, etc. etc.
