Hi Ed,
Yup, I thought that Brandt did a nice job of showing off his new songs in a solo setting.
Mysteriously, Splitsville/Pale Star/The Lucky Few was one of my fave shows of the year. The cigarette smoke could choke a horse, the talking drowned out the music, the sight lines were impossible, Matt had a cold, and Splitsville had not rehearsed, even though they had not played publicly in fifteen months.
It was just a magic night at a local tavern. A few friends playing together after a long absence, rekindling memories. So cool to see list members Splitsville Rob and Bill Jones again.
