Well, I wasn't gonna say, but...yeah.  In fact, there's an entire 
strain of hip-hop -- known dismissively by some as "backpack rap," in 
pretty much exactly the same way that a lot of UK indie bands of the 
late '80s were called "anorak pop" -- that's all about thoughtful and 
articulate lyrics.  But the majority of these acts are roughly as 
well-known to the general public as the average Audities-beloved band.
