Okay...it's almost mid-December...
* what are the best albums of the year and why?
* Mike B, are the Audities Poll Rules and deadlines coming soon?
*Lee, is that great website/database ready to rock?
*David Bash, you are guilty of too much IPO and not enough quarterly report
cards. Will you rescue your grade for this course with the mother of all
lists?
Every year, one of my favorite wastes of time (sorry Marshall) is digging
out the contenders and playing scads of great music. I'm alphabetizing,
baby. I've got a Mitch Ryder gospel record, I've got four, maybe five
serious statements from icons of the 60s/early 70s. I've got an album by a
Swedish band that's neck and neck with the one by their lead singer. I've
got Detroit garage. I've got an atmospheric wonderland. I've got three chord
monte out the wazoo.
I've got some serious decisions to make!
So let's start with one album, ANY album, that might be floating under the
radar of most people. Tell us. Sell us.
