A few months ago, there was a conversation about the merits of the latest
Taxiride album, Axiomatic. Love the band, but wasn't such a big fan of
Axiomatic.

At any rate, I check Amazon every once in a while to see if hey have a new
release scheduled. Found a new release a couple of weeks that was an
unplugged-type of thing. Called Electrophobia. Ordered it.

Gotta tell ya, if you like the first two Taxiride albums, you'll eat this
thing alive. With the acoustic approach, the vocals are way up front in the
mix. And they are simply incredible. Harmonies all over the place, but
even in the solo vocals, they are nothing short of perfect. Some of the
favorites are slowed down to accommodate the acoustic treatment.

Not a weak track on this disc and incredibly clean recording. Also included
is a new song (or at least I've never seen it anywhere) called Everything's
Changed, which imho, is better than anything on Axiomatic. Both live and
studio versions on the disc. By the way, both live tracks from Axiomatic
are much improved on this disc.

The imprint looks like an Australian-only live label (this is not a bootleg)
called Liberation Blue. The enclosed catalog has similar treatments for
other Aussie bands, most notably Mental as Anything, The Church and Mark
Seymour.

Just great, great stuff!

Best,
Rick
