There are a lot of glam rock trappings on the record -- the opening cut
nicks the riff from Sweet's "Wig Wam Bam", for example. There's also some
rhythms reminiscent of T. Rex and Gary Glitter. This is a fun record, but I
just don't think the songwriting quite reaches peak level. A couple killer
songs would make a big difference. Moreover, Terry Six is a really limited
vocalist.
Enjoyable, but not the best power pop album since whatever you think the
best power pop album in a while was.
